Yu Yutopia launched at Rs 24999

                             Yu Televentures has launched its newest smartphone and the company's first premium flagship device Yu Yutopia in the Indian market. For the fifth handset, the Yu Yutopia, the company is aiming at the high-end smartphone market.

                                The phone has a 5.2-inch QHD OGS LCD manufactured by Sharp and sports Corning Gorilla Glass.It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (2GHz Cortex-A57 quad-core coupled with 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 quad-core), coupled with the Adreno 430 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB storage with microSD expansion. There's also a 21 megapixel Sony IMX230 camera on the back with phase detection autofocus and optical image stabilization. On the front it has a 8mp camera. Yutopia also includes a fingerprint sensor on the back and has unibody aluminum design


                                The phone runs on  Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The phone also includes a new service called 'Around YU', which integrates multiple services in collaboration with companies like Zomato for ordering food, Scandid for shopping, Ixigo for travel bookings, Ola, Taxi for Sure and Easy Cabs for booking cabs. The goal is to integrate the services from these companies into one app so you can find everything in one place without having to install their individual apps.Customers will also get a six-month subscription to the music streaming service Gaana.

The Yutopia is powered by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. The phone supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0 for fast charging, capable of reaching from 0 percent to 60 percent charge in 30 minutes. 



The YU Yutopia is Priced at Rs. 24,999, the smartphone will be sold online exclusively via Amazon India - Pre-bookings starts today and the phone will go on sale December 26 onwards


Yu has also announced an Assured Upgrade Programme, meant to give Yutopia buyers the option of an assured upgrade to Yutopia 2.Yutopia owners can avail of a 40 percent 
cashback when buying the new smartphone and 
exchanging the old one.

Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640XL announced

At the Mobile World Congress, Microsoft revealed two new mid range handsets. The Lumia 640 and 640 XL are two variants of practically the same phone with the key difference being the size. They are worthy successors to lumia 630/635

Microsoft Lumia 640 

The Microsoft Lumia 640 is bigger and has a better screen than lumia 630. It packs a 5" IPS display with 720p resolution (294ppi). The display has Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset (quad-core Cortex-A7 at 1.2GHz) with 1GB of RAM. It runs Windows Phone 8.1 and sports an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash along with a 1-megapixel front camera.There's also 8GB of storage, expandable with up to 128GB microSD card. It supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE / 3G (depending on the variant), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / aGPS.
